Shawn Chenoweth Victorious in The Car Guy Auto Service 75 at Sunset Speedway
Friday - September - 2024INNISFIL, Ontario — Making his first start since the motor let go, Shawn Chenoweth crossed the finish line first in the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model The Car Guy 75 at Sunset Speedway on Saturday.
Chenoweth started the season on a terror with a couple wins, but found himself sidelined when a motor let go during the Gold Rush at Flamboro Speedway. The team went to work to put their back-up in place and be apart of the big three-day weekend at Sunset, and it turned out successful.
Chenoweth found himself in the lead on Lap 1, and was able to put a gap between himself and the field early. Despite being challenged by J.R. Fitzpatrick in the late stages, he held on to pick up the checkered flag.
Glenn Watson slipped past Fitzpatrick in the final laps for second, with top qualifier Brad Pearsall placing fourth ahead of Ethan Cournyea.
Dario Capirchio was sixth in front of Todd Campbell, Thayne Hallyburton, Ryden Lapcevich, and Mike Miller. Adrian Foster was 11th, followed by Scott Beatty, Brandon Passer, and Ryan Dick.
The Car Guy Auto Service shop is located in Bradford and is the sponsor of the #5 Brad Pearsall
