J.R. Fitzpatrick Dominates Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Feature

Wednesday - October - 2025

MILLGROVE, Ontario — It doesn’t matter who gets behind the wheel of the London Recreational Racing entry, it has proven to be fast and that was proven once again at Flamboro Speedway’s Frostoberfest when J.R. Fitzpatrick drove it to victory in the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model London Recreational Racing 50.

Fitzpatrick laid down a lap of 14.367 seconds in qualifying to land the pole for the event, before rolling a five for the invert. He would waste no time making his way forward, quickly moving into second with just eight laps on the board. He then took advantage when Brandon Passer got stuck in traffic, making his way around to take over the top spot. He then led the rest of the way en route to picking up the checkered flag.

As mentioned, he marks the third different driver to win a series event behind the wheel of the London Recreational Racing sponsored entry, repeating the feat accomplished by Shawn Chenoweth and Andy Kamrath this year already. It also allowed him to clinch the 2025 Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Championship.

Brandon Passer held on for the runner-up finish after battling late with Ethan Cournyea and Dario Capirchio. Chris Burrows completed the top-five.

Mike Heinonen was sixth in front of Mike Miller and Brent McLean.

TJ Edwards hoped to cap off his rookie campaign on a high note, but contact with Glenn Watson on Lap 8 ended his chances in doing so. Edwards and Watson made contact off turn four battling for position, with Watson getting into the outside frontstretch wall. Edwards then came down across the track where he sustained significant damage as a result of contact from Todd Campbell. Edwards was credited with ninth ahead of Campbell and Watson.

Pete Shepherd II rounded out the field of 12 after having mechanical issues in the opening laps.
